Pays more than an English major :P But I do enjoy my job.....
I know about 4 nurses who went into their profession mostly because they know someone in the family who was a nurse.
I think it pays more then other professional job and also the person gets to help other person in need. One unheard of role is the ambulatory care nursing unit.
