There are 1026 wildfires burning in California.

Yesterday there were around 800.

That means there are 200 new fires since yesterday.

That is pretty scary.

The air quality has been classified as 'very unhealthy' throughout most of the northern part of the state. Hospitals are beginning to see a surge in patients with respiratory complaints.

If things continue the way they are going we will soon see how woefully unprepared we are to face a disaster.

Yeah all we need now is a big giant earthquake...we are due for one. Oh and of course our lightening storms that are coming this weekend, yay for us, ten bucks says I'll be passing out "disaster diet" plans to all the dialysis patients tomorrow.

Being across the country we are experiencing the opposite weather. It has rained every single day for over a week now....we are .soggy.

However, if I had a choice, I would choose soggy over burnt to a crisp.....

That happens every year, doesn't it?

Maybe it just seems that way.
