God Bless the troops.
I give my thanks to all the members of the armed forces, past and present, who have sacrificed so much to ensure we can live in a country where we are free to believe what we want and speak our minds.
Where there is always abundant food on my table.
Where I, a woman, can enjoy the same freedom as a man.
Where I can openly badmouth politicians without fear of retribution.
Please take this day as it is intended, to remember our service men and women. Visit a military graveyard, invite a troop members family to a picnic, send a care package to the troop overseas to say thanks.

Hello, RENursey.
I found your blog on JCAHO while poking around and so appreciate your blogs. I read a whole string of them.
I just celebrated two years with a trach tube and feeding tube, both permanent. I am starting a booklet I am initially calling "Dear Doctor" about the difficulties I had while in the hospital and in having to learn to survive at home without much help.
I think a lot of my challenges go back to some of the same issues you talk about. Is there any way I could chat with you and get your opinion on the direction I am going. My email is latta@mindspring.com.
Keep using your voice!
Marie
Very well put.
Happy Memorial Day.
Happy Memorial Day! While giving thanks to our brave troops, I am enjoying my day in Hawaii! I have been a nurse for 12 years now and I want to let everyone know about my great experience. I want others to be able to have a similar experience. I have been a travel nurse for 3 years now. If anyone wants to spend their holidays like Memorial Day somewhere exotic then they should consider a career as a travel nurse.
Memorial Day Spam. How nice.
Thank you.
